LAS VEGAS, Feb. 01, 2008 -- Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) kicked off the 2008
Photo Marketing Association Show by winning two Digital Imaging Marketing Association
Innovative Digital Product Awards. Xerox products recognized include the Xerox
DocuColor™ 5000 Digital Press with Xerox Document Binder 120-D/Coverbind
101 DFS and the Xerox FreeFlow™ Printer Server with JPEG Plug-in. The awards
recognize products utilizing new technologies and applications that make them
distinct and first of a kind.
The new configuration of the Xerox DocuColor 5000 Digital Press maximizes productivity
by enabling print providers and photo retailers and labs to print and finish
materials in-line, resulting in complete photo specialty products coming off
the end of the press and ready for customers. It also gives print operations
that have mid-range monthly print volumes a more robust machine to create complex
photo books, calendars and greeting cards using a wider range of substrates
and paper sizes.
The Xerox FreeFlow Print Server with JPEG Plug-In for the Xerox DocuColor™
242/252/260 Digital Color Printer/Copiers allows users to print raw JPEG image
files without having to pre-process them through separate photo editing software.
The automated process shaves valuable minutes off of the photo specialty production
process by allowing print operators to use the image files in the same format
a majority of consumers use.
In addition to Xerox's DIMA award winning products, several others are on display
in the company's PMA exhibit booth (A101) including the company's flagship Xerox
iGen3™ 110 Digital Production Press, Xerox 8265 Color Wide Format Printer,
Xerox FreeFlow workflow solutions and ProfitAccelerator™ Digital Business
Resources collection.
